If the Reds are to upset the Chiefs on Saturday evening they'll have to do it without Karmichael Hunt.

The star fullback has succumbed to bruising suffered when he copped a knock to the knee late in Queensland's loss to the Waratahs, though the injury is not significant.

He hasn't been sent for scans and is a likely starter next week.

Hunt's absence was a significant blow when the Reds took on the Brumbies a month ago and it won't be any different on Saturday.Karmichael Hunt has been in superb form this season. Photo: Getty ImagesHe is Australia's form fullback and a leader on both attack and defence for Queensland.

His absence creates an opportunity for Campbell Magnay.

Duncan Paia'aua has moved back to fullback and Samu Kerevi shifts to inside centre, with Magnay handed the start at outside centre.

They are the only changes Stiles has made to his starting XV, with Chris Kuridrani filling the hole left by Magnay on the bench.

The Reds take on the Chiefs on Saturday evening, kicking off at 5:35pm, broadcast LIVE on FOX SPORTS.
