Montpellier coach Jake White was taken ill Friday and rushed to hospital where he is still receiving care, the French Top 14 club revealed on Sunday.

The 53-year-old South African began suffering dizzy spells ahead of the club's trip on Friday to Grenoble.

Medical staff at the club revealed White was in a stable condition with no immediate worries for his health.

White's charges ran up a 37-51 away win at Grenoble to climb second in the Top 14 table without their boss, who will be relieved of his post at the end of the season in favour of New Zealander Vern Cotter.
