All Blacks call up Chiefs centre

Young Chiefs centre Anton Lienert-Brown has been called into the All Blacks squad to replace the injured Sonny Bill Williams.

The 21-year-old was named on Thursday after Williams ruptured an Achilles tendon in the Rio Olympics sevens competition, keeping him out of the Rugby Championship which starts with New Zealand's clash with the Wallabies in Sydney on Saturday week.

Lienert-Brown joins Ryan Crotty, Malakai Fekitoa and George Moala as centres in coach Steve Hansen's All Backs squad.

The youngster represented New Zealand in last year's under-20 world championships and is coming off an impressive Super Rugby season for the Chiefs.
