NRC: Rams announce Coach and Captain for 2015

Mon, Jun 15, 2015, 12:30 AM

The Greater Sydney Rams have signed ex-Wallaby assistant coach Jim Williams as Head Coach for 2015.

Williams brings the Rams a wealth of experience after his years as assistant coach at Irish club Munster and for the Wallabies under Robbie Deans.

The Rams have also received a boost with the re-signing of 2014 Captain Jed Holloway. With injury hampering his selection for Super Rugby this year, the NRC will give Holloway a chance to stake a claim for the departing Wycliff Palu’s Waratah jersey.

The Rams will be hoping their new coach and captain can bring them more success this year after managing three wins from eight matches in 2014.

Meanwhile, Greg Dening has been appointed Men's General Manager for the Ram, while Carl McDonald has been appointed Head of the club's Women's elite Sevens program. Former Australian Women's player Katie Mullaly will take charge of the clubs community and ambassador initiatives.
