Brumbies chief executive Michael Jones has accepted an offer from the club's board to begin formal mediation.

Jones on Thursday accepted the offer of mediation from the Super Rugby club's board, a week after the ACT Supreme Court upheld an injunction that allowed him to keep his job despite being stod down.

That judgement, though, reinstalled the ability for the board to sack Jones with five days' written notice.

The process is expected to start on Friday.
