Reds prop Sef Fa'agase will front the SANZAAR judiciary after being cited in the wake of the Reds-Waratahs derby.

Fa'agase was cited after his knee struck the head of NSW replacement hooker Hugh Roach, in the wake of a collapsed scrum.

The 24-year-old went unpenalised in the match but his front row teammate Andrew Ready was yellow carded over the incident.

Replays showed a more complicated story and Reds co-coach NIck Stiles vented his frustration over the decision post-match.

“When you look at the opposition hooker and he’s in the middle of the scrum lying on the ground in a position he shouldn’t be, maybe there should be some yellow cards before that point in time as well,” he said.

“Andrew Ready was driving forward, he’s got no idea where his legs are, no idea where the hooker, and it’s unfortunate because we were in a good position to go for another pushover try.”

The Reds have a bye next weekend, before hosting the Highlanders at Suncorp in a fortnight
