Wallabies captain James Horwill cited

Qantas Wallabies captain, James Horwill, has been cited for stamping or trampling against the British & Irish Lions’ lock, Alun Wyn Jones, in the opening Test of the DHL Australia 2013 Lions Tour.

Horwill has been cited under Law 10.4 b, a player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.

The alleged incident, which occurred in the 3rd minute, was referred to the citing commissioner by the British & Irish Lions.

Horwill will now appear at a judicial hearing this evening, Sunday 23 June in Melbourne.
