Rebels winger Lachlan Mitchell cited following match against The Lions

RaboDirect Melbourne Rebels winger, Lachlan Mitchell, has been cited for lifting British & Irish Lions winger Simon Zebo in the seventh match of the DHL Australia 2013 Lions Tour.

Mitchell has been cited under Law 10.4 (j) Lifting a player from the ground and dropping that player into the ground whilst that player’s feet are still off the ground, such that the player’s upper body comes into contact with the ground.

The incident occurred in 52nd minute of the match at AAMI Park in Melbourne.

Mitchell will appear at a judicial hearing at the Melbourne Rebels Headquarters today Wednesday, 26 June, at 12:00pm.
