The British & Irish Lions today announced the team to play the Brumbies at Canberra Stadium on Tuesday. Ireland’s Rory Best will captain the team in the last tour game before the 1st Test in Brisbane on Saturday.

England centre Billy Twelvetrees, who arrived in Sydney on Friday, will make his Lions debut alongside Brad Barritt, who joins the tour from America where he was on vacation.

Former Wales and Lions wing Shane Williams, currently playing in Japan, will start on the left wing while young England wing Christian Wade, who made his Test debut last weekend against Argentina, will play on the right.

On the three new arrivals British and Irish Lions Head Coach Warren Gatland said: “We have obviously got ongoing treatment of some players so it’s prudent to make sure we have enough backline cover.”
