Fans of the Qantas Wallabies can have their say on who was the best player over the past year with nominations for Australia’s Choice – Qantas Wallaby of the Year – now open.

Awarded to the Qantas Wallaby voted the best and most consistent player (from November 2013 to October 2014), the Wallaby of the Year is open to all players that have represented Australia at full international level in the last 12 months.

Forty-six players are eligible for the award this year, with the winner to be presented with the Qantas Wallaby of the Year award at the John Eales Medal 2014.

2013 winner Michael Hooper is sure to feature heavily in the thoughts of Wallaby fans after another stellar year culminating in the flanker being handed the captaincy of the national side. Other contenders likely to figure in the voting include try-machine Israel Folau, who tore France apart in Brisbane and Sydney; 25-year-old prop James Slipper who continues to get better with every Test; as well as blindside flanker Scott Fardy, in sensational form during the 2013 Spring Tour to Europe.

The player with the most amount of votes from the public will be named Qantas Wallaby of the Year.
