Patrick Lambie and Frans Steyn were on Monday cleared as available for selection to the Springbok Rugby World Cup squad, Springbok management confirmed on Monday.

Steyn missed Saturday’s Tri-Nations Test with a slight hamstring strain while Lambie suffered an injury to his shoulder in the opening moments.

Lambie underwent a series of tests on Monday. Team doctor, Dr Craig Roberts, reported that Lambie had suffered a sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder and would require rehabilitation and management, but it was not serious enough to rule him out of contention.

Steyn is receiving on-going rehabilitation to his hamstring injury and is well on the road to recovery.
