Stephen Moore was prolific in his return as Wallabies captain.
After his first foray as leader lasted just minutes at the same ground in 2014, he was grateful to make his return.
As the Wallabies snatched a 24-20 victory against the Springboks, Moore made a seamless transition back into international rugby.
He threw for 11 winning line outs, made nine tackles and eight runs in a full 80 minutes on the field.
As well as his contributions in play, his decision in the last two minutes of the game to kick for touch over kicking for goal led to the winning Tevita Kuridrani try.
That choice reinforced to many that Moore was the man to lead the Wallabies into the World Cup and on Sunday he will lead them into a final eight match.
