It hasn’t been the kindest year for the Reds but Greg Holmes has been a shining light. A pillar of strength in the scrum, Holmes is now arguably the form tight-head in Australia.

The 31 year-old has also been there and done it all before with 13 Wallabies caps to his name, including a World Cup appearance in 2007.

His form hasn’t escaped the eye of Michael Cheika with Holmes attending last weekend’s Wallabies meeting in Brisbane.

The most capped Super Rugby player in Queensland’s history, Holmes has conceded just three penalties in seven games so far this season.

Will Holmes wear Wallaby gold in 2015?

If he can repeat this effort from 2006, we definitely hope so..
