Toulon’s band of Wallabies took the bragging rights over rivals Stade Francais on Monday morning, with a 23-16 Top 14 win.
Quade Cooper played 52 minutes in the win before being replaced by Kiwi Tom Taylor in the second half.
Taylor, in turn, was replaced by former Wallaby James O’Connor in the 76th minute.
Wallabies winger Drew Mitchell played a full 80 minutes for Toulon at fullback in the win, after missing the previous match against Bath.
It was a try to South African flyer Bryan Habana that ultimately proved decisive for Toulon, though it came in just the 11th minute.
The win improves Toulon’s position to third in the Top 14, with eight wins from 13 matches.

Former Wallabies captain James Horwill played the full 80 minutes in the Harlequins’ tight 26-19 loss to Newcastle.
The victory was just the Falcons’ second of the season, with the Harlequins dropping to fourth as a result of the loss.
Capped Wallabies winger Cooper Vuna played a full match for Worcester as they went down to Exeter, 30-15.
The Warriors have won just two matches this season, leaving them third-last on the Premiership table.

Taqele Naiyaravoro played 68 minutes at outside centre as the Glasgow Warriors drew with Ospreys, 20-20 on Monday morning (AEDT).
The Warriors were leading going into the final quarter of the game, before a Dan Evans converted try drew the sides level.
