The Qantas Australian Women's Sevens team has launched its 2016 calendar to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

Retailing at $20, the calendar captures the stars of the national Sevens squad away from the footy field.

Ellia Green, who's mother has been battling cancer, said: "The girls were keen to do their bit for the people who have done so much for my mother and myself.

"We had plenty of fun along the way shooting the calendar and it certainly took a few of us out of our comfort zone! It'll be the perfect accessory for planning around when to watch the team in action in the World Series leading up to the Rio Olympics."

Brooke Walker is the face of January with Ellia herself featuring in April. Tiana Penitani is the star for July with Charlotte Caslick the player for October.

The second page of the calendar features a quote from the 22-year-old Green: "Persevere to achieve greatness and you can fight any challenge that life may throw at you. Mum, you are my inspiration, my determination, my queen."
