Hailing from a small property in country Queensland, one of 4 children Georgie Friedrichs signed on full time with the national Sevens program in March and made her debut a month later during the fourth leg of the 2015-16 HSBC Women's World Series in Canada. She somewhat humbly calls herself 'a jack of all trades' and lists Sevens star Shannon Parry as her hero on the paddock.
Friedrichs will run out again for the Aussies in December during the first leg of the HSBC World Series Sevens circuit where she looks to add not only to her six caps, but also to her ten career points. After a bitter battle with injury across 2017, Friedrichs comes into this season hungry for more game time and to make her mark in the Aussie Sevens jersey.
