The Aussie Men's Sevens have avoided the "big three" in the pool stages of the Commonwealth Games. Coach Andy Friend says the side hasn't been resting on their laurels, as they look to continue their form in Hamilton.

The Aussie Sevens squads have both drawn Pool B for April's Commonwealth Games.

Here's how the unveiling of the pools unfolded.

The Australian Men's Sevens squad have drawn Pool B, putting them up against England, Samoa and Jamaica.

Australia were always slated for a tough run through the pools as they were not one of the top four seeds but they have avoided big guns South Africa and New Zealand, which is a major positive.

Samoa are one of the dark horses of the tournament, though, and were one of the stronger nations from that particular band.
