Club finals are looming across the country this weekend, so who's lining up for their sides?
QUEENSLAND PREMIER RUGBY
Minor premiers University of Queensland will be looking for a clear path to the Grand Final this weekend, hosting GPS in Queensland Premier Rugby’s major semi-final, but it won’t be an easy assignment.
GPS won the last regular season clash between the two, 45-42, and loose forward Michael Richardson saying the semi would be decided up front.
“We’ve got to make sure we’re really strong defensively, and we’ve got to make sure we stick to our strengths, which is obviously our set piece,” he said.
Sunnybank hosts Wests in the minor semi-final, with the Dragons finishing above the Bulldogs on bonus points.
The Dogs have bested Sunnybank in both their matchups this season and Wests winger Byron Hutchison said they’d be trying to keep things consistent this weekend.
“We’ve got a game plan that we play every week, and as long as we execute that, we can’t go wrong.”
