New Zealand put down a marker as one of the teams to beat at the World Junior Championships in Georgia in June when they disposed of Australia 43-6 at Bond University on Saturday night.

The Kiwis were ruthless in their six tries to nil win over the Australians who struggled to cope with the cohesion and overall speed and skills of the New Zealanders who were crowned Oceania title winners.

They led 29-6 at halftime and really motored away in the second half and at the same time stopped the Aussies from scoring a try in the big showdown..

Once again their skipper, No.8 Luke Jacobson, was amongst their best with two tries and a great 80 minute effort with and without the ball.

Not far behind him was flyhallf Tiaan Falcon who missed only one shot at goal all night and pulled the strings in the backline well all night and centre Orbyn Leger.

The New Zealanders went through the tournament undefeated and did not fail to score less than 40 points in any of their three games.

The Aussies for the most part struggled to compete with the Kiwis but skipper Reece Hewat tried hard as did his back row teammate Angus Scott-Young.
