Waratahs prop Sekope Kepu faces possible suspension, after being hit with an off-field yellow card in the wake of Friday night’s Wellington defeat.

Kepu’s tackle on Jordie Barrett in the 27th minute of Friday night’s clash with the Hurricanes resulted in a penalty, but SANZAAR has issued a warning after the game.

The move is his third indiscretion this season, following two yellow cards, meaning he must face the Foul Play Committee.

Kepu’s review will take place on Sunday at 7pm AEST, with the committee to look at all three offences to determine a penalty.

That will be where it ends, should Kepu plead guilty and accept any sanction.

The Waratahs have a bye this week, before taking on the Kings in round nine.
