The Brumbies have been dealt with a blow to the start of their Super Rugby season with Scott Sio unable to recover in time to make the Brumbies side for their match against the Crusaders.

Coach Stephen Larkham has named a total of seven players that could make their debuts for the Brumbies.

The loss of Wallabies prop Sio will no doubt be frustrating for Larkham but Brumbies fans will be excited to see how the new players will slot in.

All eyes will be on the side's fledgling halves pairing with Joe Powell set to line up alongside New Zealand born Wharenui Hawera.

The Brumbies are certainly not short on pace with a back three of Henry Speight, James Dargaville and Aidan Toua, a much-needed facet against the Crusaders.
