Fans of top quality international Rugby will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to watch the Qantas Wallabies take on 2011 World Cup Finalists France next month from 9am tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 May.

Les Bleus won’t be afraid to showcase its renowned flair in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney throughout the Castrol EDGE France Tour and the Qantas Wallabies know they will be in for a bruising battle, with the French beating the Aussies the last time they met in Paris in November 2012.

Led by Ewen McKenzie, who knows the French game inside out having coached at Stade Français from 2008-09, the series gives the Qantas Wallabies the ideal chance to refine its game against a Northern Hemisphere side just a year out from the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Qantas Wallabies Head Coach Ewen McKenzie said: “The fact that the Australian provinces have performed so well in Super Rugby this year underlines the level of talent we have in this country at the moment. The series against France is our first opportunity of the international season and we’re determined to get off to a winning start.

“As a former Wallaby myself, playing in front of a packed crowd for your country is one of the biggest thrills you can have in the game – and I know the current group of players think no differently.”

Tickets for the Test in Brisbane on Saturday, 7 June at Suncorp Stadium range from $24 to $119, and from $98 for families (2 adults, 2 children) and are available via Ticketek.

Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games Jann Stuckey said the Queensland Government was proud to support the Qantas Wallabies versus France Test in Brisbane through Tourism and Events Queensland.

“Major fixtures such as the Qantas Wallabies versus France Test further cement Brisbane’s reputation as a premier sporting events destination,” Ms Stuckey said.

“The Government’s 20-year tourism plan, Destination Success, recognises the importance of major sporting events such as this in driving repeat visitation to Brisbane.”

Tickets for the second of the 2014 Castrol EDGE France Tour matches on Saturday, 14 June in Melbourne at Etihad Stadium range from $19 to $99, and from $78 for families (2 adults, 2 children) via Ticketmaster.

Minister for Sport and Recreation Damian Drum said: "The Qantas Wallabies and France match will be a fantastic event for Victoria and I encourage sports fans from across the country to book their tickets and enjoy the build-up to the event, the match itself and everything about Victoria."

Tickets for the third and final match of the 2014 Castrol EDGE France Tour in Sydney on Saturday, 21 June at Allianz Stadium at the family friendly kick-off time of 3pm range from $24 to $139, and from $98 for families (2 adults, 2 children) via Ticketek.
