Wales centre Gavin Henson has been suspended by his rugby club Cardiff Blues over an incident on a return flight to the Welsh capital following a Celtic League game against Glasgow Warriors.

Cardiff says club officials will meet on Monday morning "to discuss the matter," which is also being investigated by airline Flybe.

The incident occurred late on Friday, hours after Cardiff's 31-3 loss in Scotland.

Henson came on as a substitute during the match.

The 30-year-old Henson has won 33 caps for Wales, his last appearance coming in August in a 19-9 win over England. He hurt his wrist in that match, ruling him out of the World Cup.

Henson joined Cardiff on an eight-month contract in October after leaving French side Toulon.
