Australian Rugby Union today confirmed that 500 tickets have been placed on late sale for the opening Test of the DHL Australia 2013 Lions Tour at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow evening. The tickets include some of the best viewing seats in the house and are available NOW through Ticketek.

For the first time in 12 years the Qantas Wallabies will face the British & Irish Lions and fans who missed out on the initial release of tickets are being encouraged to secure their seat at the history making Test.

It will be the first time the sides have met at Suncorp Stadium with the two most recent meetings taking place at the Gabba in 2001 and Ballymore in 1989.

Fans who have already secured their tickets are being encouraged to plan their trip and arrive early to Suncorp Stadium on Saturday to ensure they are not delayed due to the large crowd expected.

Ticket holders to the match receive free public transport to and from the Test, more information and timetables can be found at translink.com.au.

Fans are being offered the extra incentive to arrive early with a special pre-match performance by former Men At Work front man, Colin Hay, beginning at 7:35pm.

Performing his hit song, Down Under, Hay will be the main feature of an exciting pre-game show that will also include performances from the Qantas Choir and Lions Choir, a special acknowledgement of country as well as a look back at the 1989 and 2001 Lions Tours.

“Hopefully the fans will come a bit earlier than kick-off because they can warm their voices up by helping me sing the tune,” Mr Hay said.

Purchase your tickets now through Ticketek.
