Scotland coach Andy Robinson has agreed a three-year contract extension which will take him through to the 2015 Rugby World Cup and beyond, the Scottish Rugby Union announced on Wednesday.
Former England head coach Robinson, 46, was appointed to the Scotland job in 2009 following the departure of Frank Hadden. His current deal was due to run out at the end of next year's Six Nations campaign.
Robinson had been linked with a return to Bath but the SRU has moved quickly to secure the coach's services up until December 31, 2015.
"I am very proud to be the Scotland head coach and I am delighted that the great work already underway will continue until after the Rugby World Cup in 2015," Robinson said in a statement.
SRU chief executive Gordon McKie said Robinson had overseen a steady improvement in the national team's fortunes since his appointment.
"... He has made a real impact on the national team taking us to seventh in the world and achieving fine victories over Southern Hemisphere opposition last year," McKie said.
Under Robinson, Scotland have beaten Australia and South Africa in one-off internationals at Murrayfield and recorded a rare Test series victory over Argentina last summer.
They lost 34-21 away to France in their opening Six Nations match last weekend and face Wales at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Scotland will also be unchanged for their clash with Wales this weekend, with Robinson sticking with the side which were beaten by the French.
