Biography
Hailing from Newcastle, NSW, Yasmin Meakes played her first season of rugby in 2017 with Canberra’s Uni-Norths Owls. That same year she was drafted to play for the UC 7s team in the Aon University Sevens Series and soon after, the Australian National team.
Meakes made her World Series debut in the 2017-18 season, on the Japan leg of the tour.
Meakes played a key role in the Aussie sevens team taking home Bronze in San Francisco in 2018 at the Rugby World Cup Sevens, which ultimately resulted in gaining herself a full-time contract.
