Growing up in Auckland, New Zealand Tayler Adams played all his school rugby as a scrumhalf. Adams signed a developement contact with Southland club in the ITM Cup and played five games at the top level before being selcted for the New Zealand U20s.
After playing another two season in the New Zealand provincial competition, Adams linked up with the Greater Sydney Rams in the NRC and later the West Harbour Pirates in 2015.
2017 was a stellar season for Adams when he took out the Shute Shield's player of the year award, the Ken Catchpole Medal. Adams is now the starting no.10 for the NSW Country Eagles.
