All Blacks centre Tamati Ellison brings a wealth of experience to the Rebels' backline, having brought up 100 Super Rugby appearances in the club's first ever win against the Brumbies in 2015. Ellison moved to Melbourne ahead of the 2014 Super Rugby season, having such an impact that he was re-signed until the end of 2017. Ellison also plays in the off-season for Ricoh Black Rams in Japan, and prior to moving to Melbourne, had played for the Blues, Hurricanes and Highlanders.Ellison has represented the All Blacks on four occasions, as well as representing New Zealand underage sides, the Maori All Blacks and the New Zealand Sevens team.
