Brisbane born Katelyn Sherrin grew up in a very sporty family, and competed in Athletics and Swimming throughout her schooling years. Tired of swimming and watching her brother from the sidelines of the Rugby field, Sherrin decided to start playing Rugby Sevens when a friend needed a replacement for her team. Sherrin now calls Redlands Rugby home and will line up with Griffith University in the 2017 Uni Sevens series.
