A member of the Queensland Reds senior squad after progressing through the representative pathways in Queensland, Hoopert's next logical step was up into the Junior Wallaby program after impressing within the Queensland U20s program. An agile and mobile prop, Hoopert is one to watch in the Junior Wallabies squad this year.
