Born in Maronderra, Zimbabwe, before moving to Queensland at a young age, Dom Du Toit joined the Rugby Sevens program at the start of 2015 after a series of stunning performances at the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing. The lightning quick winger scored eight tries throughout the campaign, including a remarkable hat trick in the Cup Final - to help Australia to a Gold medal.

The 2017/2018 World Series saw Du Toit gain a cap in all of the five legs as well as notching up 75 points, as a result of these strong performances Dom gained selection in the Commonwealth Games side that claimed a silver medal on the Gold Coast at the end of the 2018 World Series.
