Born in Maronderra, Zimbabwe, before moving to Queensland at a young age, Dom Du Toit joined the Rugby Sevens program at the start of 2015 after a series of stunning performances at the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing. The lightning quick winger scored eight tries throughout the campaign - including a remarkable hat trick in the Cup final - to help Australia to a Gold medal.

Dom was a travelling reserve for the Australian team that competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

In 2017 Du Toit pulled on a Rays jersey for Macquarie University during the 2017 Aon University Sevens Series alongside Aussie Sevens teammate Chloe Dalton. Yet again impressing in this series tallying ten points, Dominique continued through to the Central Coast Sevens.
