While of Fijian heritage, Kuridrani was born and raised in Brisbane, attending school at Ipswich Grammar where he played in the First XV before making the move to GPS Rugby Club in his first year out of school, featuring in Premier Colts and Premier Grade. He was selected to play at the U20 World Championships for Fiji in just his first year out of school in 2010 and was then contracted to play rugby league for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League before returning to union in 2011. While the 24-year-old is following in the footsteps of his father Isei Siganiyavi, a former He is the younger brother of Fijian Test star, Nemani Nadolo and Wallabies centre Tevita Kuridrani.
