As a General Service Officer in the Australian Army’s Royal Australian Corps of Transport, Caroline is no stranger to hard work, on or off the rugby field. The mother-of-one is a Wallaroos veteran, having been to both the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. While deployed in the Middle East, her training for the 2014 World Cup involved some innovative measures, including tackling practice in sandpits and scrummaging with a boxing bag against a wall.
In recent years rugby has taken on an even more important role in Caroline’s life, as she credits her involvement in the sport as a main factor in helping her recover from post-natal depression.
Fairs was selected to represent Australia at the International Women's Rugby Series in New Zealand.
