Biography

After a consistent season playing for Brothers in the 2015 Premier Rugby season, Ben Hyne earned a call up for the Brisbane City squad, his flowing locks under the headgear ensuring he was prominent throughout the campaign and establishing himself as a starting XV player alongside Reds recruit Caderyn Neville in the second row.

A try in the NRC Final against Canberra Vikings put his name up in front of Brumbies coaches, and the former carpenter downed tools and drove from Brisbane to Canberra, taking up an offer from Head Coach Stephen Larkham. He toured South Africa with the Brumbies midway through the 2016 season.
