Queensland hooker Averyl Mitchell was a late comer to rugby but it didn't take her long to rise up the ranks. After a standout Super W season in 2019, the rake was handed her first Test and her first start against Japan in Newcastle. Mitchell's life revolves around rugby off-field too with the front rower also working at the QRU as a graphic designer.
Mitchell made her Wallaroos debut against Japan in Newcastle, starting over former skipper Liz Patu in the opening Test of the year.
