New Zealand-born to polish parents, it wasn’t until Adam Korczyk’s family moved to Brisbane in 2007 that he discovered his love of rugby. His father Dariusz, a cardiologist, moved the family across the Tasman in 2007, with Korczyk later committing to rugby at Brisbane State High from where he represented Australian Schoolboys in 2012. Following impressive contributions to Brisbane City in the inaugural NRC, Adam was awarded a contract with the Reds Elite Development Squad ahead of the 2015 Super Rugby season. He made his Super Rugby debut in 2015 and was elevated to the senior squad ahead of the 2016 season.
New Zealand-born to polish parents, it wasn’t until Adam Korczyk’s family moved to Brisbane in 2007 that he discovered his love of Rugby. And he didn’t muck around after that, playing Queensland and Australian Schoolboys out of Brisbane State High School in 2012, and the Australian Under-20s in 2015.
In between, he’s featured heavily for City through both their NRC title wins, playing all but one game in 2014, and returning from injury midway through the 2015 season and starting in the Final. His excellent NRC saw Korczyk rewarded with a Reds contract for 2015, debuting on their South African tour, and later being elevated to the senior squad for the 2016 season.
