The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) are pleased to welcome two new commercial partners, with Queensland-based land development organisation KDL Property and leading premium ready-meal providers Fitness Outcomes committing to multi-year investments into rugby in Queensland – specifically in the elite pathways spaces.

These partners signify further growth in the QRU’s partnership portfolio, joining an outstanding suite of existing partners and adding to the network of businesses who share a desire to grow the game of rugby and contribute to success in Queensland.

Gold Coast-based KDL Property are helmed by Managing Director Kent Leicester. KDL Property’s focus is on designing and developing residential community developments, with a focus on relationships shared by their staff and contractors, and a desire to be excellent in everything they do. The KDL Property logo will feature on the front of the Queensland Reds U15s, U16s and U19s playing and training shorts.

For Leicester, a rugby tragic originally from Hawkes Bay in New Zealand but based in Queensland for almost fifteen years, supporting the QRU is a proud moment.

“I played a lot of rugby myself growing up, have a couple of young boys coming through age grades and have been connected to underage rugby in Queensland through sponsorship for some time,” Leicester said.

“I’m very passionate about rugby, it teaches great lessons about motivation and teamwork and there’s nothing better than watching a good hard game of rugby.

“Ballymore is a great facility – it’s world class and we’re really proud to have KDL Property’s name on display here. It’s a facility that the men and women coming through can be really proud of, we want to play a role to help grow more great Queensland rugby players.”

Fitness Outcomes will supply high-protein ready-made meals for a number of QRU professional and pathways programs. They will play a key role in fuelling the Queensland Reds Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby Women’s squads, as well as the Buildcorp Reds Academy, ensuring Queensland’s elite rugby players have access to delicious high-protein, low-calorie meals. The Fitness Outcomes logo will feature on the back of the Queensland Reds U15s, U16s and U19s playing and training shorts.

QRU Head of Commercial & Content, Pete Fairbairn, welcomed KDL Property and Fitness Outcomes to the QRU.

“That organisations of this calibre want to partner with the QRU is a credit to the hard work being done here at the BMS National Rugby Training Centre, by the players and the staff, every single day,” Fairbairn said.

“From the first moment Kent proactively reached out and engaged with us, it was clear he was passionate about rugby and wanted to play a key role in our organisation. That’s exciting, and exactly what we’re looking for in a partner. KDL Property has an excellent reputation, and we’ve developed a strong relationship immediately.

“We were admirers of Fitness Outcomes through their existing sports partnerships and were delighted that an industry-leading brand valued the opportunity to fuel Queensland’s current and future players so highly.

“We’re over the moon to welcome KDL Property and Fitness Outcomes on board.”
