Brumbies flyhalf Noah Lolesio was an early casualty after twisting awkwardly in a 19th minute ruck and was stretchered from the field - stay up to date with Lolesio's condition here - while the Force were without star flanker Carlo Tizzano, who was ruled out prior to kick off with a pectoral injury.

The game was in the balance at 21-14 with 10 minutes remaining after Mac Grealy's try drew the Force within single digits before Ollie Sapsford and Bowron struck late to break the hosts' hearts.

Earlier, Len Ikitau, Corey Toole and Tom Hooper crossed for the Brumbies while Force flanker Kane Koteka found the chalk before half time.
