Matt Lucas will start his first Super Rugby game of the year when the Brumbies take on the Jaguares.

Lucas has played back-up to Joe Powell this season and has even missed out on the matchday 23 at times, but coach Dan McKellar has put faith in him to step up in Buenos Aires.

James Slipper is the only other big-name change for the Brumbies, starting over Scott Sio.

Jahrome Brown has retained his starting spot after impressing in his first start last weekend, combining with Pete Samu and Tom Cusack in the backrow.

Locky McCaffrey is still missing with a knee injury he suffered a fortnight ago, while Josh Mann-Rea and David Pocock were both ruled out of  the match early in the week.

Centre Irae Simone comes onto the bench in place of Wharenui Hawera.

The Brumbies are looking for back-to-back away wins after notching a victory over the Stormers in Cape Town last weekend.

The Brumbies take on the Jaguares at Estadio Jose Amalfino, Buenos Aires on Saturday April 27, Sunday 7:40am AEST, LIVE on FOX SPORTS and Kayo Sports.
