The Brumbies will welcome back Wallabies trio Rory Arnold, Scott Sio and Folau Faingaa for Saturday's clash with the Lions but flanker David Pocock is still being held back with injury.

Arnold, Sio and Faingaa were all rested for the Brumbies' loss to the Crusaders as part of the Wallabies' rotation policy ahead of the World Cup.

Brumbies coach Dan McKellar said he was confident his side could finally put together a strong outing from start to finish after a series of second-half fadeouts.

"We trained really well last week, took a young group over to the Crusaders - I was really proud of their effort and the response that we got," he said.

"We've trained very well this week.

"Our senior players have been tremendous over the last two weeks and we were pretty honest after that Reds game and I think we're well primed to perform at the level we want to perform at on Saturday."

Pocock hasn't played since March 8 after aggravating a preseason calf injury and McKellar admitted they needed to be wary of rushing him back into the team.

"I think you've got to manage him, he's like any player, and you're right around calf injuries," he said.

"(Calf injuries) can be tricky and hang around for a while so we've just got to manage his load well and he's not going to be playing 80 minutes, that would be silly from our end. We'll manage him wisely and make sure he can string some games together.

"It'd be nice for him to get some consistency week in, week out and build his own form and his own performance because whilst he's a world-class player, if you're in one week and then out for a few weeks, it's hard to get momentum in your own individual performance.

"It'll be good for David as well, so hopefully that's the case."

The Brumbies take on the Lions on Saturday April 13 at GIO Stadium, kicking off at 7:45pm AEST, LIVE on FOX SPORTS, Kayo and via RUGBY.com.au RADIO. Buy tickets here.
