England lock George Kruis will not play against Australia, left out of a 25-man squad for the match on Tuesday.

The Saracens second rower has struggled for consistency this season, but was a part of the Lions squad in July to take on the All Blacks.

Kruis was one of 10 players axed from an initial 35-man squad, with the team set to change venues on Wednesday ahead of the Sunday morning (AEDT) clash.

England coach Eddie Jones has instead included Bath's Charlie Ewels in the trimmed-down group, alongside fellow second row options Joe Launchbury, Courtney Lawes and Maro Itoje.

Mike Brown, who is under an injury cloud after suffering a concussion against Argentina, was also included.

Prop Joe Marler looks set to come straight back into the team after a suspension, with Leicester's Ellis Genge dropping out of the squad.
