Wallabies move up world rankings

On the back of an inspired performance by Reece Hodge, The Wallabies secured second position on the Rugby Championship table with a strong win over the Pumas in Mendoza.

The Wallabies have moved up to third in the world rankings, after their win over the Pumas in Mendoza.

Australia was sitting fifth in the rankings ahead of last weekend's clash, with a win moving them two spots up the ledger.

The Wallabies leapfrogged Ireland and South Africa in the process.


New Zealand's one-point win over South Africa has extended its gap on the rest of the world rugby pack.

England has maintained its second-place ranking, with the end-of-year tour still to come next month.

South Africa and Ireland each moved down a spot, displaced by Australia.
