Who provided the positives in a mixed Australian conference weekend?

1. Pek Cowan

The Force scrum was impressive against the Rebels and Cowan was a cornerstone of that.

2. Damien Fitzpatrick

On a dismal night, hooker Damien Fitzpatrick was a rare positive for the Waratahs against the Jaguares, the 28-year-old clinching the rare chance for an intercept.

3. Allan Alaalatoa

Alaalatoa was a bright spot on a rough night for the Brumbies, solid in the scrums and in defence.

4. Izack Rodda

Rodda and Reds teammate Lukhan Tui are clearly rising stars and Rodda showed that in a partnership with Kane Douglas on Friday night.

5. Adam Coleman

Captaincy clearly agrees with Coleman - the Wallabies and Force second rower led the way against the Rebels, finishing with a try, 4 tackles and a turnover. On the up and up at both Super Rugby and Test level.

6. Rob Simmons

Had his best game of the season, playing at blindside for the Reds for the first time in his career.

7. Richard Hardwick

Hardiwck has gone to another level since coming back from Wallabies camp. Scored a try, made 12 tackles and had two turnovers along the way as well.

8. Adam Korczyk

Queensland rates him very highly and Adam Korczyk continues to show why, unrelenting each week. Was again influential against the Brumbies.

9. Michael Ruru

Ruru has well and truly rebounded from injury earlier in the season, delivering silver service to the Force backs.

10. Peter Grant

Grant was on the outer earlier this season but has found his way back into the starting side, exerting great influence in that role. Grant’s accurate goal kicking has been especially valuable.

11. Marika Koroibete

A first half double sparked some early hope for the Rebels in Perth and showed what Koroibete can do if given half a chance.

12. Bill Meakes

Another impressive performance from Meakes in his debut Super Rugby season. A weapon in defence and improving in attack as well, Meakes is making his mark in WA

13. Mitch Inman

Inman has just one game left as a Rebels but he’s making the most of his final matches, one of the rare lights for the side against the Force. Had plenty of touches and also made 10 tackles on a tough afternoon.

14. Izaia Perese

Izaia Perese is going to be a star, as long as he can stay injury-free. Another super performance from the youngster, who has stepped up since returning from the World Rugby U20s Champs.

15. Dane Haylett-Petty

The Wallabies winger had another solid game for the Force, making 77 run metres, notching a try assist and beating three defenders.
