Just in case an all-Sydney top of the table clash between the only two undefeated sides in the NRC wasn’t quite enough, Wallaby Scott Fardy has been named as a late inclusion.

The flanker wasn’t in Michael Cheika’s matchday-23 for tonight’s Rugby Championship clash with Argentina and will instead wear the Sydney Rays jersey today against the NSW Country Eagles.

A regular starter for the Wallabies in recent years, Fardy was dropped from the national side after the second Bledisloe and will be hoping to regain some form and confidence in the NRC.

In his attempt to break back into the gold jumper Fardy will make his NRC debut at Pittwater Park, a familiar ground for the 32-year-old who was a junior at the Warringah Rats.

The game kicks-off at 1pm and can be streamed at foxsports.com.au.
