Ben Tapuai returns to the Force's starting side for the first time in three weeks, as they prepare to face the Blues.

The outside centre is the only change to the side's starting XV, with the team coming off a bye last weekend.

Prop Pek Cowan, who re-signed with the franchise earlier this week, will come off the bench in his first match back from a broken arm, while Luke Burton will also try to make an impact off the pine after a foot injury.

Force coach Michael Foley said the side was refreshed after a week off, and wanted to build some momentum after a win over the Sunwolves two weeks ago.

“We used the first days of the bye week to recover and the back end of the week to reinforce some of the positives from the Sunwolves match,” he said.

“In Tokyo, we played the type of rugby we’ve been working towards.

"The biggest difference came as a result of us focusing on enjoying the game and attacking every contest without fear.

"Without doubt, there have been times where our disappointment as a result of not getting things 'right' has held us back, but I believe the boys now have not only a clear picture of the type of game we’re chasing, but also the attitude that allows us to enjoy games while we continue to improve.”

The Force host the Blues at 7:40pm AEST, LIVE on FOXSPORTS 2 502.
