Brumbies flanker David Pocock will face the SANZAAR judiciary, cited in the wake of his side's loss to the Chiefs.

Pocock was cited for "an act contrary to good sportsmanship" in the 74th minute of the match, and could face suspension.

The SANZAAR citing commissioner deemed Pocock had breached this law, "grasping the neck" of the Chiefs' Michael Leitch in a maul.

While the Wallabies back rower was not penalised or carded during the game, the commissioner decided the incident deserved an off-field red and a possible suspension

Pocock's case will be heard by SANZAAR duty judicial officer in the coming days.

The Brumbies have a bye this weekend, before travelling to Sydney to face the Waratahs in a fortnight.
