Ita Vaea returns to the Brumbies starting team.

Injuries have forced two changes to the Brumbies' team to face the Cheetahs, with bullocking number 8 Ita Vaea returning to the backrow.

Vaea has missed the last fortnight with a finger injury but will take his spot in the starting lineup in Bloemfoentein, with replacement Jarrad Butler (knee) forced out for a month.

Robbie Coleman comes on to the wing, as a straight swap for Henry Speight (face) ahead of their final South African clash, with James Dargaville included on the bench.

Robbie Abel is in line for a Super Rugby debut, named on the bench in place of the suspended Josh Mann-Rea.

Ruan Smith rounds out the changes to the bench line up, on the bench for his first appearance of 2016 after a season in Japan's Top League.

The Brumbies take on the Cheetahs at midnight Sunday (AEDT).
