The Australian Rugby Union today announced it has reached agreement for Dove Men+Care to be the Official Deodorant & Male Grooming Supplier of the Qantas Wallabies.

The two-year deal, which runs until the end of 2015, will see Unilever’s male deodorant and grooming brand extend its association with Rugby following similar successful partnerships with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) in England, the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRU), the Welsh Rugby Football Union (WRU) and the Scottish Rugby Football Union (SRFU).

Under the new deal with the ARU, Dove Men+Care will enjoy match day branding rights, experiential and sampling rights, as well as access to Wallaby players and corporate hospitality. The deal gets underway on 7th June, when Australia take on France in the first of three Tests in the Castrol EDGE French Tour series.

Australian Rugby Union CEO Bill Pulver said: “We are delighted to welcome Dove Men into our family of Qantas Wallabies partners. We’re looking forward to a partnership every bit as successful as the one enjoyed by Dove Men and Rugby in the UK. This association only strengthens our opinion that Rugby is a sport in Australia with an increasingly broad appeal.”

Dove Men+Care Marketing Director Jon McCarthy added: “The strength and quality of the current Australian side offers the perfect platform to showcase the high performance and superior skin care benefits of the Dove Men+Care deodorant range.

“We look forward to activating the partnership and bringing fans closer to the sport during this exciting time for Rugby in Australia with the forthcoming Rugby World Cup in 2015.”
