Melbourne Rebels captain SCOTT HIGGINBOTHAM made a triumphant return for the Qantas Wallabies in June 2014, after injury robbed him of the opportunity to play against The British & Irish Lions the previous year. ‘Higgers’ is one the standout ball-running and lineout options in the country with a potent combination of size and power. He returned to the international arena for the second Test against France, and followed up with a strong display coming off the reserves bench in Sydney’s drawn Bledisloe Cup before going on to play in all seven matches in The Rugby Championship. In his final Super Rugby campaign at the Rebels, the Perth-born backrower surpassed Owen Finegan as the leading try-scoring forward in Super Rugby history. Higginbotham will link with Japanese club NEC Green Rockets following the international season.
