BEN McCALMAN was one of the Qantas Wallabies’ most consistent performers in 2014, representing the side on nine occasions. The tough and durable backrower who hails from the NSW Central West was arguably the Wallabies’ standout player on the end of season Spring Tour, playing in every minute of all four Test matches against Wales, France, Ireland and England. McCalman continued his form throughout the 2015 Super Rugby season and was a unanimous choice to win the club’s player of the year award, the Nathan Sharpe Medal. The 27-year-old backrower pledged his loyalty to the Western Force and Australian Rugby as part of a significant three-year contract extension in May.
